Project Services

In new construction our team works closely with the architect and owner to understand the vision of the project and strives to make that vision a reality. Our scope of work includes the conception, analysis, design, detailing, drafting and preparation of specifications for the primary structural system, review of structural shop drawings, and site observation during construction. We also are available to consult on the development of criteria for geotechnical investigation and materials testing and construction observation services.

Our experience indicates that the sooner KSi is included in the process, the more value we can provide for our client. By reviewing project assumptions, dealing with site selection, building geometry, loadings, arrangement of equipment, security requirements, etc. KSi professionals can prevent potential problems and inefficiencies. We can identify opportunities to increase the value of the project for the owner by eliminating over-conservative assumptions.  Our engineers can increase the potential value for a project by maximizing the capacity for use, reuse and expansion of the facility.

KSi’s staff is very familiar with various methods of project delivery and considers working creatively and proactively with fast track, phased, and other special delivery methods as part of making a successful project.
